The screen is fine when the phone is not closed, but when it is closed(the screen and the housing), these white dots would show up, because of something pressing on the shield inside. I'm not sure what's causing these pressure, I definitely followed the ifixit guide to replace the digitizer and LCD and I don't know what's pressing on the screen.
