Messages. 2. Points. 1. Dec 5, 2010. #1. Had a rear end shunt in my 2003 fiat multipla and now won't start. suspect fuel cut out switch needs to be re-set. can any one tell me where it is ? i've looked under the dash on both sides but can't find it. Please help.
fuel cut off switch is usually under the passenger seat. not 100% sure its there on a mk2 punto, my girlfriend has a mk2 sporting and i cant remember seeing anything under the seat (i hoover under there at least once a week), but its the first place i'd look for the switch on any car.
No benzina could be the fuel shut-off switch. It almost *has* to be the fuel shut off switch as (as my old mechanic used to say) the fuel pump must have been working okay when it hit the wall. You can rig a direct feed to the fuel pump (under the rear seat) if you want to prove that the pump works.
